Guadalupe Country
Gaudalupe is an archipelago and is located in the eastern Caribbean Sea. The county is having the total land area of 1,628 square kilometers. It is an overseas region of France with a single overseas department. Now it is one of the twenty-six counties of France and since 2007 it is an integral part of the Republic.
Christopher Columbus was the first person who land on the Guadelope in November 1493 who nominated this place as Santa Maria de Guadalupe de Extremadura, which then turned in to Gaudalupe. Gaudalupe contains five islands Grande-Terre, Basse-Terre Island, Less Saintes, La Desirade and Marie-Galante. From which Basse-Terre is having rough volcanic and Grand-Terre marks flat plains and rolling hills.
The island faced the Turbulence in June, which was cased by the wind passing over this island. The swirls were continued towards the south from this island. Guadalupe is considered as one of the best place in the world for the white sharks. The team from the USA and Mexico are now doing study of these sharks with eco-operators Islander, Horizon Charters and Shark Diver.
The place has faced number of hurricanes such as, 1928 Okeechobee hurricane on 12 September, Hurricane Cleo on August 22, 1964, Hurricane Inez on September 1966, Category 4 Hurricane Hugo on September 17, 1989, Topical Storm Iris on August 28, 1995 and Hurricane Georges on September 21, 1998.
