Alaska Ranger
Alaska Ranger is fishing Factory ship, which was been operated and owned by Alaska of Seattle, Washington. The construction of this ship was done in 1973 for the purpose of oil field service vessel. However, the ship was been sink on 23 March 2008 in which four crew members were killed. After sinking it was reported that the ship was in the condition of disrepair. Most of crew members, engineers, and crewman agreed to this condition.
The bearing sea is known as the body of the water in the Pacific Ocean. It is separated by Alaska Peninsula from Gulf of Alaska covering about two million square kilometers, bordered on northeast and east by Alaska. According to scientists, sea level becomes low in the ice age that allows human as well as animals to migrate to North America from the Asia. The portion Kula Plate is an eye catching and an ancient tectonic plate, which is used during the Triassic period.
In Alaska the fishing has been carried out during the winter months in the shore line of Alaska and the Aleutian Islands. The red crabs found in the large size. According to the record of 1980, some fishers produced up to 200 million pounds of crab but by 1983, it was dropped to almost sixtyfold. For the year 2005 and 206, about 14 million red crabs were caught in only four days.
Chionoecetes is also other kind of crabs, which found in northern Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. This species is known with the name including 'queen crab', 'spider crab' and with some other names in different areas of world. This snow crabs are also found in Arctic Ocean, Atlantic ocean and across the Pacific Ocean including Bering Sea, Gulf of Alaska, Sea of Japan and Norton Sound.
