Annie Frank
Annie Frank was born on 12 June 1929 in 'Frankfurt am Main' was Jewish girl. However, she spent her most of the time of her life in Netherlands that considered her German officially till 1941. Her family moved to Amsterdam from Germany in 1933 when the Nazis were having power to dominate the German.
She was one of the million Jewish children who lost their life in Holocaust. In July 1942 the German authorities started to through out the Jews from Amsterdam. For the first half of the July, Annie's family used to hide in the apartment where already there were some hidden Dutch Jews. They lived with this family for about two years where Annie pointed all the moments spend by her, her family and Dutch family in a diary. Their friends and co-workers were helping them by supplying food and other things necessary to live.
However, Dutch police succeed to find one of them member and with the help of that member they find other member hidden in that apartment. They arrested Annie and his whole family on August 8, 1944. Annie and her sister died because of the typhus on March 1945. Before this she had kept the diary at one of their helpers during this time. The diary was then published in various languages after the war. It was containing her fears, experiences and hopes during while hiding.
Her diary was entered in late July that is before her arrest, which was held on August 4, 1944. The diary was then published in the honor of Annie and many other children who died in the war. The incident covered about 60 years on this August 5, 2009 but the still the diary shows the same environment of horror and death while reading it.
