Bridgeville PaBridgeville is a region located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. About 5,341 people at the 2000 census are living in the Briddeville. The place is surrounded by the communities such as Collier Township, Mudville, South Fayette Township and Upper St. Clair Township.
The area was originally known as St. Clair Township till 1763 that later renamed as Upper St. Clair Township in 1806. Bridgeville is the village within St. Clair Township and the name Bridgeville to the village was because of its one bridge over the Chartiers Creek. On August 4, 2009 the incident was happened in the L.A. Fitness Center in Bridgeville. A man fired on women in which five people were dead and about 10 got injury. According to people one unknown gunman entered the fitness center around 8:15 pm and started firing. The gunman also ended his life by shooting himself.
