Cash for Clunkers Car List

As we know cash for clunkers is a program, which is designed to rouse U.S. auto sales. The consumers will get the environment with economic incentive provided by the program that will help them to replace old car with new car. There is simple concept of the program in which people can get their desired car with desired mileage for which government will provide up to $4,500 as a help for the consumers. President Obama has signed this program on June 24, 2009.

The program made four categories of the vehicles such as trucks, cars, vans and SUVs on the basis of their weight and length. However the program stated a condition that the replacement of the new vehicle should be up to only $45,000 and more than.

Criteria for Clunkers:

Your vehicle must not be more than 25 years old on the date of trade-in.
The vehicles must get 18 or fewer MPG
The vehicles must be registered.
It must be drivable condition.
Customer need to pay the state tax on refund.
The program will be run till Nov 1, 2009.

There are about 1000 vehicles, which are qualified and are listed for the cash clunkers. Some samples are,

Honda Passport (1996 model) with mileage 15, $1,227
Lincoln Continental (1997 model) with mileage 18, $ 1,179
Chevrolet Silverado, (1998 model with mileage 14, $3,378
Audi A6, (1995) with mileage 18, $1,261
Toyota Land Cruiser, (1996 model) with mileage 13, $4,042.
