Cioppino

Cioppino is a fish stew originally from San Francisco containing various dishes including fish soups and Italian cuisine. Dish is the combination of the Dungeness crab, shrimp, clams, scallops, mussels, squid and fish. All these sea food is then combined with tomatoes in wine sauce and used to serve with toasted buttered bread, sourdough, spaghetti or long pasta.

Cioppino

The dish was first developed by the Italian fisherman in late 1800s. The fisherman further settled in North Beach section of San Francisco. He first used to make it on the ship later than it became famous dish at the restaurants in San Francisco. The Cioppino requires ingredients such as;

Halibut, sea bass, white fish
Cooked Dungeness crab or lobster
Shrimp
Little neck clams, oysters or muscles
Olive oil
Chopped onion
Chopped green bell pepper
Salt
Garlic Tomatoes
Mollusks broth
Red wine
Tomato juice
Fish
Herb bouquet of parsley, bay leaf, basil
Salt and pepper
Minced parsley for garnishing

A very famous Chef Sargent founded a Brooklyn Fishing Derby in New York in 2009 and is running on every October for a month. Benjamin Sargent is a 'Brooklyn Chowder Surfer', an American celebrity chef, television personality, restaurateur and artist. Currently he is working on chowder recipes and book images with his own inspiration of 'Catch It, Cook It and Eat It'
