Dan Sontag
Dan Sontag a Merrill financial advisor as well as head of Merrill Lynch's global wealth and investment management decided to leave the Bank of America Corp and Merrill Lynch after 30 years. However, the announcement was done after hiring Sallie Krawcheck, a former Citigroup Inc Wealth management executive. Sontag decided to work for short time with Krawcheck for change period.
The 52 year old Sontag stepped towards this announcement when he heard that Krawcheck will be his boss. The announcement was done after the selection of Krawcheck for this post. On Tuesday morning he announced his decision during a call broadcast between financial advisor of firm and management. He started his career as a broker in 1978 in Colorado in this firm and reached the post of head.
However, there were rumors and news, which come out on August 4, 2009 regarding to Sontag's departure. The rumor was spread that the Bank of America is planning to oust Dan Sontag. The news of these changes to the Bank of America was published in various news papers and news lines on August 4, 2009 but the two names Sallie and Keith Banks were missing in the news.
