Denny Hamlin

James Dennis Alan Hamlin, Jr is an American race car driver. He was born in Chesterfied, VA on November 18, 1980. He is now working for Joe Gibbs Racing with his #11 Fedex car in the series of NASCAR Sprit Cup. He faced minor knee surgery on December 16 after the season of 2009.

His career as a race car driver was began in 1988 when he was only 7 years old. At the age of 16 he won the WKA manufactures cup. Recent season includes 2007 Cup that he has finished in Daytona 500. He won the third cup of his career at the Lenox Industrial Tools 300. In 2008 he won at Martinsville by eight points and it was the identical season for him. Recently he collected the victory with his #11 car in the spirit cup.

With these wins he reach the 38th position in 2009 season and captured the win by leading total of 70 laps. It was his 4th win of the 2009 season. August 3, 2009 was the great day for him that he won the first race of 2009 season. He was driving for Gibbs Racing at Pocono raceway.
