Groundhog is from the Sciuridae family and is also known as whistle-pig or woodchuck. The species belongs to the group of squirrels, which are known as marmots. This species is distributed in central and northeastern United States, North America. Groundhogs are also found in Alaska and Alabama.
Recently that on February 2, 2009 the movie with the name Groundhog Day was come based on the facto whether he will see his shadow. There is some assumption that if groundhog sees his shadow winter may extends by 6 more weeks and if not then there are only 44 days left of winter.
