Everglades City
Everglades city is also known as the Collier County, Florida, United States. The city is having population about 479 in 2000 and in 2004 it was 513 according to record by the U. S. Census Bureau. The city is a part of Naples-Marco Island Metropolitan Statistical States. According to United States Census Bureau, the city has total area of 3.1 km2. The city is having Wilderness Waterway 'Ten Thousand Islands', which begins in Everglades. Florida.
This place was occupied by the Native Americans of Glades Culture for thousands of years ago. After second war Americans started to settle in this new world. During 1970s and 1980s, the city and its connected islands and Chokoloskee were become the centers of marijuana smuggling. In the city there are historic buildings including Old Collier County Courthouse, Everglades Laundry and Bank of Everglades Building.
Helios Flight 522 was Helios Airways Boring 737-300 flight that was crashed on August 14, 2005 in mountain at 12:04 EEST. The aircraft involved in this incident had its first flown on 29 December 1997 and later nicknamed as Olympia. In this crash 121 people were dead and it was second accident of the same year.
