Red chili is the hottest ingredient or food used to prepare food. Many people like the spicy food and hot dishes. Red chili is the main ingredient to make the food spicy and hot. India has brought us this Ghost chili recorded as the hottest red chili in the world. No one is compared to this chili for its hotness. The hot foods are measured in the scientific rating meter known as Scoville scale. It measures the hotness of chili pepper in the capsaicin, which is nothing but a chemical compound that excites the chemoreceptor nerve endings in mucus membrane and skin.
American chemist Wilbur Scoville has created the scale which then was known by his name. The products like sauces use to mention Scoville of their product to sell the products. The contents such as chili peppers and fruits of the Capsicum are high at the Capsaicin. The pepper gained this name 'Ghost Chili' from its native fallacy, which says that eating this chili, may turn one into a ghost.
