Glendale Fire
'The Glendale fire Department' is a police department, which provides number of emergency services such as emergency medical, fire suppression, specialized rescue and hazardous materials response to protect the lives and property of people. However, their first priority is to prevent crime.
On Thursday August 4, 2009 a brush fire was reported on westbound 134 freeways on 4:11 pm. Number of fire companies from the Glendale, LA city was present on the spot with firefighting helicopters. According to fire officers, fire burned about 40 acres of the land. The officers started to begin the upper hand on the fire to control the fire. As the fire slow down they handled the hot spots.
The 70 % fire was contained on but the cause behind the incident is still unknown. The area was crowded by traffic on the August 4, 2009 that the fire companies including Glendale fire Department tried to control the traffic o that area.
According to fire department officers there were four fires were started on that day and about five acre dense was under fire. The residents around 2100-2300 Glenoaks Boulevard were shifted to the safe place at the Glendale Civic Auditorium. Helicopters were used to drop the water to control the fire blaze.
