Hurricane Dolly Path

In July 2008, the landfall was made in Texas by a tropical cyclone named as Hurricane Dolly. Dolly was the second hurricane and fourth tropical cyclone, which were formed during 2008 Atlantic hurricane season. Dolly was the first U. S. landfalling hurricane of the 2008 season. On July 20, 2008, the hurricane Dolly was developed from the area of disturbed weather.

The area under this tropical hurricane was about 1600 miles. The rain was stared to fall along the Gulf Coast and closed in the towns on both sides of the Texas-Mexico border. On Tuesday afternoon Dolly was upgraded from the tropical storm continuing into wind. According to National Hurricane Center, Dolly may come close to Category 2 strength. United States and Mexico were under hurricane in which the offshore platforms and fields were missing. In Texas-Mexico it entered on Wednesday.

The officials of the Texas advised resident to move away the Rio leaves as there may be possibility of the same path by Dolly as 1967's Hurricane Beulah. All the details were broadcasted on the weather channel. The Weather Channel, TWC is a satellite and cable television network of the United Sates in the service since May 2, 1982. The channel was founded by John Coleman and Frank Batten in 1981. However, it was launched on May 2, 1982. The channel is headquartered in Cumberland/Galleria area.

TWC also provides other services including garden, home and event planning forecasts. WAP is the access for the mobile users and for computer users there is desktop widget. On July 6, 2008, NBC Universal, Blackstone Group and Bain Capital made the agreement to buy the Weather Channel from Landmark Communication.
