Iain ClaytonIain Clayton the name came into light because of the journalist Laura Ling who was arrested by the Korean government for illegally entering the country. Laura Ling is a wife of Iain Clayton the senior vice president of the SSI Investment Management Inc. The Korean government released these two journalists Laura and Euna Ling on August 5, 2009. Both the journalists were arrested in March 2009.
Iain was waiting for his wife at the Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California at 8:00 am. Laura Ling's father and Iain expressed their anxiousness after seeing her again. President Bill Clinton personally took part to release the journalists. Iain Clayton said that he and his family are greatly thankful for him. Iain was seeing his wife after 140 days and become so excited to her at the airport. Euna said that the days they spent at the jail were the most difficult and heart wrenching time for both of them. Laura G. Ling is an American journalist born in December 1, 1976 and is working for the Current TV as a vice president and correspondent. Lisa Ling who is working as the special correspondent for CNN and The Oprah Winfrey Show and National Geographic explorer is a sister of Laura Ling. Laura and Ling were arrested by the North Korean government when they crossed North Korea without visa. After landing on American soil both the journalists back to their home and preferred to take home made food. Iain Clayton told reporters to let Laura alone to take rest.
