Ice Road Truckers'Ice Road Truckers' is a documentary-style and a reality television show, which was first showed on the 'The History Channel' on June 17, 2007. Before it The History Channel had aired 46 minute episode with the same title in 1999, which was aired as the part of Suicide Missions series. Edith Lglauer has created this show by picking the theme from the book 'Ice Road' written by Denison. The show captured the reality behind the career of driving trucks on the frozen lakes, which is unfaithful.
Ice Road Truckers is documentary telling adventure, human ingenuity, perseverance and danger behind this profession. Truck drivers hit the ice roads on every day playing a game with their life. The History Channel hired its original production in 2006 and created this series. Winter is the perfect season to earn money for the truckers. They starts their journey in the brutal temperature and drives more on ice roads than the driving done in the rest of year. When the show starts, the family of the constants stay behind waiting for their dear ones but unsure about their safety till they come back. During this driving the drivers need to deliver more loads as possible before the ice road melts. People bet for this game and if the drivers fail to deliver it in time then the project remains incomplete. Hugh Rowland, Alex Debogorski, Rick Yemm, Jay Westgard, T. J. Tilcox and Drew Sherwood were the drivers for the first season. The first series was started with six ice road drivers with eighteen wheeler trucks and this episode was aired on June 17, 2007 in UK, Africa and Australia.
