Jason Peter
Jason Peter is a retired American football player who was born on September 13, 1974. At the University of Nebraska he was an All-American defensive tackle in his senior year. He was taken in the first round in 1998 NFL Draft by Carolina Panthers. He took retirement after 2001 season because of the chronic neck stinger. His older brother Christian was also played in NFL.
On July 22, 2008, NFL and former Nebraska Cornhusker have published a record about Jason Peter about his rise to fame and unhelpful battle against heroin addiction and also his succeeding recovery. The book was titled as "Hero of the Underground" that is now on 33 position on the best seller list by New York Times.
He was born and grew up in Locust, Middletwon Township of New Jersey where he started to play football at the high school football at Middletown High School South in Middletown Township, New Jersey and also at Milford Academy in Connecticut. Later he became a defensive line coach at Edison High School in Huntinton Beach, California and at Harvard-Westlake School in North Hollywood, California.
Christian Peter is also a former American football defensive tackle in the National Football League. He was born in Locust, New Jersey on October 5, 1972. His younger brother Peter also played in the National Football League. He started to play football at Middletown High School South in Middletown Township, New Jersey and then transferred to Milford Academy. In his football career he was also one of the leaders of 'Blackshirt' defense of Nebraska's. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 1996 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots.
