Melissa d ArabianMelissa d Arabian is a 40 year old woman who has become a winner of 'The Next Food Network Star'. She was the only contestant without specialized cooking experience. She was living in Keller, Texas but now she lives at Kirkland, Washington. She has worked for or member of Alpha Chi Omega when she was undergraduate. Melissa has done MBA from Georgetown University.
She married with Philippe to whom she met in France and gone for their first date to L'Alivi restaurant. She was 20 when her mother committed suicide. She got inspiration by her mother to cook for others as her mother was doing for her. However, she also gives credit for her success to French chef, Julia Child. She is now planning for her own show where she herself will host the show to give guidance for people. She has confidence that she can relate with people with her own life experience. She wants to display people that they can save their time and money by cooking fresh and home made meals. Through her new show she is going to share her ideas of food lifestyle and many other simple recipes that can be easily adjustable in family. So, be ready to get more knowledge and enjoy cooking with new member of the Food Network family.
