Millard Fuller
Millard Fuller is a name of a founder and formal president of organization known as Habitat for Humanity International, which is known for building houses. Now days he is known as a leader of the modern day movement for reasonable housing. Fuller had been honored in the United Sates for his work.
He was born on January 3, 1935 in Lanett, Alabama to Estin Cook Fuller and Render Fuller. Unfortunately he was died this year on February 3, 2009. He graduated with major in economics at Auburn University and received a law degree from University of Alabama. He married Linda in 1959 and the family returned to the United States and began a Christian ministry at Koinonia farm building simple, decent houses for the low income families.
In 2005 he continued his work establishing 'The Fuller Center for Housing' and with this he expanded his business. He has received numerous awards and honorary degrees. In 2005 he was honored by the Points of Light Foundation and former president George H. W. Bush.
Apart from this there is another name 'Habitat for Humanity International' involved in the same business of building decent and simple houses. Habitat for Humanity is an international ecumenical Christian, non-government, non-profit organization. The building of the houses runs with the use of volunteer labor but being sold at no profit.
