New Jersey Earthquake
On February 2, 2009 a small earthquake was happened in New Jersey on Monday night. The people of Morris County heard the sound of Thunder, which was actually an earthquake and was counted with 3.0. According to the U. S. Geological Survey the exact center of the earthquake was at two miles southeast of Victory Gardens.
The strength of the earthquake was not that of high that give minor injuries and damages in the Morris County of New Jersey. However, according to some news outlets and authorities there were some calls by people who felt for a while about an explosion. However, according to Bruce Presgrave a geophysicist of National Earthquake Center in Cororado, such earthquakes with or below 3 would not cause any damages and injuries.
The news of the earthquake was published on the News 12 with the proper interviews of the person of Morris county and the emergency management official who was conform about the exact location of earthquake. The news 12 also organized eyewitness calls and got a huge response through several calls from the viewers of Randolph and Dover. Some viewers said that it was pretty significant earthquake for their area.
