Dame Helen Mirren is an English actress born in July 26, 1945. She has won one Academy Award, four BAFTAs, four SAG Awards, fur Emmy Awards and Three Golden Globes. Her father Petrovich Mirnow was a Russian while mother Kathleen Alexandrina was English. The family was known as Basil but later her father changed it to Mirren in 1950.
She joined the St Bernard's High School for girls to complete her schooling. She completed her college education from the New College of Speech and Drama. He got a break with the role of Clopatra in the production of Antony and Cleopatra that lead her sung with agent Al Parker. There are some movies in her career list including The Revenger's Tragedy, All's Well That Ends Well, Troilus and Cressida, As You Like It, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Gorky, The Other Place etc.
However, her early list includes The Long Good Friday, The Mosquito Coast, White Nights, Some Mother's Son, The Prince of Egypt, The Madness of King George, The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover, Teaching Mrs. Tingle and many more. She also appeared on televison with her performance in Cousin Bette, AS You Like It, Losing Chase, Blue Remembered Hills, The Passion of Ayn Rand, The Collection, Elizabeth and The final Act.
She got number of awards in her acting career. She was nominated for the best supporting actress academy award for the role of The Madness of King George and Gosford King George. Recently she received Academy Award for Best Actress for the role in The Queen in 2007. With this award she has become an Oscar winner with the best actress award.
