Chef Marc Vetri did partnership with Jeff Michaud and Jeff Benjamin to open Osteria. Before it he was working as a chef and had been 2005 recipient of the James Beard Award for 'Best Chef: Mid Atlantic' in Philadelphia. The restaurant then received its own credit with the 2008 nomination for the award as a 'Best New Restaurant' for James Beard Award.
Osteria have various traditional Italian menu including thin crust pizza, wood grilled meats, fish and homemade pastas. There are verities in pizzas such as the gourmet pizza that comes with bordering with bitto cheese, mozzarella and cotechino sausage; the Lombarda pizza is different with its startling melody toppings.
