Phoenix Band
Phoenix Band is uplifting and amazing French rock band, which was started by Thomas Mars, Christian Mazzalai, Laurent Brancowitz and Deck D'Arcy in their childhood. The band was started at the same time when other bands like Daft Punk and Air were also there in Versailles suburb.
At the beginning the band was working as a backing band to give support to the remix of Air's. Then they released their own album United in 2000. Laurent Brancowitz is the person who joined the band permanently and chosen the name 'Phoenix' for the band in 1996. Before joining the Phoenix, he was working with the band Darlin, which was short lived band with Guy-Manuel de Homen-Christo and Thomas Bangalter.
The second album 'Alphabetical' of the Phoenix band was released in 2004 with the singles 'Run Run Run' and 'Everything is Everything'. After the album 'Alphabetical' the band make tour for three continents and played for 150 dates. They followed their live album named as 'Live! Thirty Days Ago' in the tour that then released the album 'Alphabetical' after exact 30 days. Live! Thirty Days Ago was come in 2005.
In 2006 they released their third album 'It's Never Been Like That'. The band then come with new album 'Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix' in 2009 and was released on May 25, 2009. The recording and mixing of this album was done in Paris by Cassius Zdr.
The band has performed some plays such as 'Too Young', 'Lisztomania', '1901' on Saturday Night Live. The track "1901" played by them was used in the movie 'New York, I Love You' while "Lisztomania" was used in the trailer 'where the Wild Things Are'.
