Pocket Bikes
Pocket bike, which is also known as a minibike and minimoto and is a tiny motorcycle. These bikes are having two stroke engine that is useful to turn the rear wheel. Its first piece was made by enthusiasts using the useless spare parts. These bikes were used as a ‘pit bikes’ in 1950s for the drag races.
However, later the bikes become so famous that the market has developed for such minibikes to complete the demands by people. Some very popular minibike companies are Rupp, Arctic-Cat, Taco, Heath, Fox and Gilson. Some of these companies are also involved in the making of power toys such as trikes, go-karts, choppers etc.
These bikes are approximately one-fourth the size of the regular bikes with the two-stroke internal combustion engine between 40-50 cc. at the beginning the model bikes were produced about 2.4-4.2 hp with the weight 50lb. Because of its tiny size the bike is very comfortable for both adult and children that they can run it with up to 78 mph. These bikes are also comfortable because of its low cost.
In most of countries these bikes don't need the license to ride it. However, it can not be ridden on the private land including race tracks, gardens, car parks etc. Valentino Rossi is a notable racer who became expertise using the minimoto.
