Rob NewbigginRob Newbiggin is a 44 year old middleweight weight boxer from United Kingdom. He became the point of gossip because of his decision of gender reassignment. He was born on September 7, 1964 in Manchester, England. He fought his last fight on August 14, 2009 with Michael Gomez as a male boxer.
After his gender reassignment he lost his all friend but his wife Emma stand on his side with his decision. It is known that Rob was wearing women dresses and wings in his free time. He had decided to change his name to 'Mercedes' from Rob and had told about this to the reporters also. He also told that people were shutting down there windows when they saw rob. After his last fight he decided to leave his wife and children to go under the gender reassignment. But his wife decided to stay along with him as she knows his problems. Newbigin said that he doesn't matter that he is a father or mother. He just wants to be a good parent of his/her children. According to him he was born with inter-sexual that he was facing a lot problems including high level of estrogen in the body. He started to learn boxing at the age of 12 as his father advised to behave him like a man. Now Rob is happy with the change in his life and is now planning to apply to get a female license from the Boxing Board of Control.
