Ron Guidry
Ron Ames Guidry is a former Major League Baseball left handed pitcher. He was born on August 28, 1950. He played from 1975 to 1988 for New York Yankees for 14 seasons. He worked as the pitching coach for the year 2006 and 2007 for the New York Yankees.
His actual career in the baseball was started in 1975 and 1976 seasons but as a pitcher he started in 1977and then moved to starting rotation. In 1977 and 1978 he had lead the World Series and New York Yankees championship series. On June 17, 1978 he beat the California Angels and made the Yankee-record 18 batters. This season also helped him to become in the top ten list of baseball history. During his coaching period the ERA of the pitching staff was decreased from 4.52 to 4.41 through in 2007.
