In 1970 she had worked as child actress and still is best known for that performance. She had won the competitive Academy Award at the age of 10, which is a record and is still unbroken.
She also participated in the reality shows like 'Dancing with the Stars' of ABC and did commentary for 'Entertainment Tonight' in 2006. From 2006 to 2007 she did a very bitter Blythe Hunter role in 'My Network TV' for 'Wicked Wicked Games'. Recently she is producing one feature film, which will be released in 2009. She married with a tennis player John McEnroe and they have three children. However the couple separated in 1992 and divorced in 1994. After that she addicted with the drugs and caught with buying crack cocaine. Before marriage she was girlfriend of pop star Michael Jackson and was dated till 1980's. Recently her father Ryan O'Neal hit her at Farrah. He was drunk and didn't recognize her and tried to be funny with a Swedish woman but unfortunately she was Tatum o Neal, his daughter.
