The Color of Friendship
'The Color of Friendship' is a television film of 2000. Paris Qualles has written this film while Christopher Morgan and Kevin Hooks produced it. It was distributed and aired on the channel Disney in the same year. It was relased on 5 February 2009 in USA and won some awards including Primetime Emmy and four other wins and 3 nominations.
Lindsey Haun, Carl Lumbly, Perry Johnson and Shadia Simmons were the cast of this film. Other casts were Anthony Burnett, Melanie Nicholis, Travis Kyle Davis, Susan Danford, Michael Kanev, Stephen Jennings, Ahmad Stoner, David Rosser, Ryan Cooley, Erik Kilpatrick and Michelyn Emelle.
Story of the movie runs around two girls and both are friends of each other but are from different societies. The two girls are Lindsay Haun as Mahree from United States and Shadia Simmons as Piper from South Africa. The movie was made and mean for children but there was nothing any interesting part for children. In fact the movie was filled with number of serious issues such as value of friendship and discrimination.
Mahree Bok lives in South Africa in farm house with her father and younger brother. However, her friend Piper is a daughter of US congressman and lives in a very nice home in Washington. Mahree decides to spend her vocation at Piper's house but her religion of black South African creates problem for her.
