'The Legand of Bagger Vance' is an American film. Robert Redford has directed the movie where as Will Smith, Charlize and Matt Damon are the starring of the movie. The main casts of the movie are Will Smith (Bagger Vance), Charlize Theron (Adele Invergordon), Matt Damon (Rannulph Junuh), Bruce McGill (Walter Hagen), J. Michael Moncrief (Hardy Greaves), Joel Gretsch (Bobby Jones), Lane Smith (Grantland Rice) and Jack Lemmon (Old Hardy Greaves). The film is based on the book of the same title by the author Steven Pressfield. The film was the last film for the actor Jack Lemmon.
Bobby Jones was a golfer who played the national and international championships. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 17, 1902. However, he took retirement from the competition at early age that is at the age 28. The victory in all four golf tournament and the 'Grand Slam' made him more popular.
His golf career or entry was started at the age of six where he completed the third round at the U. S. Amateur Championship at the age 14. In 1916 he won the Georgia State Amateur. Club professional Stewart Maiden was his trainer and coach. He is one of the five giants along with Babe Ruth, Jack Dempsey, Red Grabge and Bill Tilden in the 1920's American Sport Scene. Jones was diagnosed with syringomyelia that caused for his death.
