Wave 3
Wave 3 is a NBC station present in Louisville, Kentucky. It is owned by the Raycom Media, which broadcasts reports from its main studio of Louisville. The digital antenna and digital transmitter are located along with digital transmitter and antenna of WLKY in New Albany, Indiana.
The actual broadcasting was begun on November 24, 1948 on channel 5. This channel five was owned by Norton family and was the first television site of Kentucky in United States. However, 'wave 3' come down in August 2009. It was still on the same level on August 4, 2009.
WLKY is an Advanced Warning Weather team that may give an opportunity to the Weather Watchers to become its part. Weather watcher is a network of the viewers that provides weather conditions or reports of their hometown. If there is one who interested to become the member of the WLKY team they may mail to weather@wlky.com.
WHAS is an AM radio station and is known as '84 WHAS' of Louisville, Kentucky. The channel is of 50,000 Watt clear channel, which is allocated with the frequency of 840 kHz. It was modernized in 1970's from old line MOR into the new music format 'Hot Adult Contemporary' format.
