WTAE News Station

WTAE is a digital channel is a partner of ABC serving with Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania region. As an ABC partner it is serving for Wheeling/Steubenville and Clarksburg/Weston, West Virginia. The transmitter of this channel is located in Pittsburgh suburb of Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania. WTAE is one of five partners in the United States with higher channel. It will have the highest channel allocation in June 2009. Recently on August 3, 2009 the channel WTAE converted their weather and traffic channel 'Digital Subchannel' into 'This TV' because of the success of the 'Retro Television Network'.

On February 3, 2009 the Pittsburgh /channel published news of a death of 31 year old man killed by police in the Perry South on North Side overnight of Pittsburgh. The channel four reported that the Pittsburgh police shots after only when the man refused to drop his weapon. According the reporter there was a little argument between police and that man.
